SCFCU, St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Athletics Team Up in the Fight Against Cancer
St. Cloud Financial Credit Union is proud to once again be teaming up with St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Sabres Athletics during the 2025-26 school year in the fight against cancer and raising money for those who need it most.
This year marks the third year SCFCU, St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Athletics have partnered together, raising over $20,000 over the last two years during the annual Sartell football Tackle Cancer games. During the 2025-26 school year, the partnership is growing beyond Sartell football with cancer awareness games expanding to Sartell volleyball and Sartell boys hockey as well.
“SCFCU has always been about more than just banking — we’re dedicated to giving back, coming together to support our communities and making a meaningful difference in the lives of so many,” said Jed Meyer, President and CEO of SCFCU. “We are excited to continue to expand this partnership with St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Athletics in the hopes of bringing even more people together for this impactful cause and supporting those who are fighting cancer or other terminal illnesses.”
This year, SCFCU and St. Cloud Subaru are supporting cancer awareness nights for three Sartell athletic programs: Sartell football’s Tackle Cancer game on Sept. 12, Sartell volleyball’s Dig Pink night on Sept. 25 and Sartell boys hockey’s Stick it to Cancer night on Jan. 15. Fans who attend those events will not only help raise money in the fight against cancer, but will have the opportunity to be entered into a drawing for three great prizes during those games.
Proceeds raised at the football game through merchandise sales, raffle tickets or other donations support two great causes: Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund and TriUnity Foundation. Both organizations aim to assist and support the cancer community and those facing terminal illnesses. During the volleyball and hockey games, proceeds raised will support TriUnity Foundation and its efforts to eliminate the debt for individuals and families experiencing terminal illness, including cancer.
“We’re very fortunate to have the continued support of St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, St. Cloud Subaru and our entire community as we unite and help raise awareness for such an important cause,” said Bruce Thompson, Sartell Activities & Athletics Director. “Over the last few years, we’ve raised over $20,000 in the fight against cancer and we look forward to continuing to raise funds for some incredible causes across even more sporting events this year.”
Ahead of the cancer awareness games, fans can purchase merchandise via an online store and in person at the Sartell Activities Office. Shirts, jerseys, hats, accessories and more are available by visiting www.promoplace.com/scfcutacklecancer.
