Relaxin’ for a Reason
Every Tuesday, SCFCU employees and members relax for a reason to raise awareness and donations for a local non-profit or cause as part of our Relaxin’ for a Reason initiative.
Each month, we highlight a few local organizations to raise awareness of and collect donations for. We invite you to relax for a reason with us to help make a meaningful difference in our surrounding communities.

TriUnity Foundation
The TriUnity Foundation, founded by SCFCU, is a life-changing foundation that empowers hope, healing and strength while helping eliminate the financial strain for those facing a life-threatening illness.
Since its inception in 2025, the TriUnity Foundation has touched the lives of many with grants that offer peace of mind during life’s most difficult season. TriUnity Foundation believes no one should face life’s hardest obstacle alone. Together, we can create a space for what matters most.
Tips for Giving Meaningfully
If you plan to take part in charitable giving, either during the holidays or throughout the year, we have some tips to help you do so:
Align your giving with your values. Start by identifying the causes and organizations that mean the most to you.
Adjust your annual budget. Plan ahead so your giving fits comfortably with your financial goals throughout the year.
Get familiar with the nonprofit. Make sure you are familiar with the nonprofit or organization to ensure your donation is truly making the difference you intend it to.
Keep your receipts. If you do contribute financially, keep your receipts for tax purposes. Most charitable donations are tax-deductible.
It isn’t all about money. You can give to a cause that is close to you beyond finances — your skills, time and voice can be just as powerful.
