SCFCU's Eunice Adjei Among Community Stars Participating in Dancing With Our Stars Live

One of the largest fundraising events in Central Minnesota, Dancing With Our Stars Live, has announced its list of community stars participating in this year’s event, with St. Cloud Financial Credit Union Director of Multicultural Services Eunice Adjei among the six stars.

The event, organized by the Women’s Fund of Central Minnesota Community Foundation, annually features six local celebrities who are paired with a professional dance partner for the chance to win up to $15,000 for a non-profit organization or program of their choice that supports women and girls.

This year, Adjei will be dancing with Nick Benner in support of TriUnity Foundation. The foundation, created by SCFCU, is a first-of-its-kind foundation that empowers hope, healing and strength to individuals and families by helping eliminate the financial strain for those facing terminal illness. TriUnity Foundation is hosting its celebratory launch and fundraising event, the Light the Way Gala, on March 27 at the Park Event Center in Waite Park.

“I am beyond excited to be part of this incredible event that annually supports some incredible non-profit organizations and programs across Central Minnesota,” Adjei said. “Not only do I get to have fun participating in the event alongside fellow community members and dancers, but I’m also excited to bring awareness to TriUnity Foundation and its life-changing mission.”

The ninth annual Dancing With Our Stars Live event will take place June 9 at the College of St. Benedict. The winner of the competition is based off their score from the judges during the event as well as how much they raise for the non-profit organization or program of their choice.

“Raising awareness for a cause like TriUnity Foundation and doing my part in helping raise money to relieve the financial burden of those facing terminal illness makes this experience even more meaningful to me,” Adjei added. “It’s an honor to dance for a cause like this that brings hope, healing and strength to families and individuals who need it most.”

Donations in support of Adjei can be made leading up to the event and on the night of the event, with 90% of the funds raised going directly to the organization or program chosen by each community star.
