SCFCU, St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Athletics Team Up to Raise Over $10,000 in the Fight Against Cancer

During the 2025-26 school year, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union teamed up with St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell Athletics in the fight against cancer, coming together to raise over $10,000 in donations for a third year in a row.

This year, SCFCU, St. Cloud Subaru and Sartell High School came together to support more than just Sartell football, but expanding it to host cancer awareness games for Sabres football, volleyball and boys hockey.

Thanks to the donations from the surrounding community and money raised throughout each game, $10,117 was raised in support of the Randy Shaver Cancer Research & Community Fund and our TriUnity Foundation.

“Coming together in support of cancer research is not just a cause, but it makes a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. At SCFCU, we believe in the power of community, the importance of giving back, and taking purposeful action within our community,” SCFCU President and CEO Jed Meyer said. “The outcome of all this money raised is goodness in our community. This is yet another example of, when we come together united as one, we can truly make a meaningful difference to support those who are fighting cancer or other illnesses.”

The Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund supports the cancer community through funding research, prevention, treatment and other programs related to the needs of the community. This organization was founded by former KARE-11 News anchor Randy Shaver, who has been a long-time supporter and advocate for cancer research and the Minnesota cancer community.

TriUnity Foundation is a new first-of-its kind foundation to the credit union industry that empowers hope, healing and strength to individuals and families facing terminal illness. The foundation’s mission is to eliminate the strain of debt for individuals battling a terminal illness and is committed to providing meaningful financial relief to help individuals and families navigate this difficult season with hope and resilience. TriUnity Foundation is a DBA of St. Cloud Financial Foundation and was founded by SCFCU.

“We’re very fortunate that in Sartell, our community and people like Jed Meyer from St. Cloud Financial Credit Union and Bobby Konnight from St. Cloud Subaru, they care about Sartell High School, they care about giving back and they care about our community,” said Sartell Activities & Athletics Director Bruce Thompson. “I think that shows with everything they’ve done. We are proud of this partnership we’ve built and teaming up to help raise money for two incredible causes.”
