SCFCU Named 2024 Business Partner of the Year

St. Cloud Financial Credit Union has been honored for its passion and commitment shown across the Central Minnesota community.

SCFCU has been named 2024 Business Partner of the Year by Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity (CMHFH), receiving the award at CMHFH’s Changemaker Retreat & Recognition event April 17 in St. Cloud.

CMHFH annually recognizes a business partner in the surrounding area that has gone above and beyond in contributing to the community. The award winner is selected based on the passion and commitment shown to partnering with CMHFH to fulfill its vision of enabling everyone in Central Minnesota to have a decent place to live at a price they can afford.

SCFCU has been partnering with CMHFH for more than a decade, with the partnership demonstrated through donations, volunteering, raising awareness throughout the community of both the great need for affordable housing and the ways CMHFH is making affordable homeownership possible in our community.

“A credit union is more than just a place to bank — it’s a fabric of the community. This year, we didn’t just say we cared, we proved it like we have been for 94 years,” SCFCU President and CEO Jed Meyer said. “We are thankful great partnerships like the one we have with Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity and we look forward to another year of giving back to our members and communities.”

SCFCU strives to not only make a meaningful difference in the lives of its members, but by being out in the community and giving back to the communities in which SCFCU serves.

In 2024, SCFCU donated over $87,000 to the surrounding community and over $23,000 to non-profits, with SCFCU employees providing over 4,400 volunteer and community services hours over the calendar year. In 2023 and 2024 combined, SCFCU has donated over $202,500 to the surrounding community.

“St. Cloud Financial Credit Union is being honored for their dedication, generosity, and a partnership that has spanned more than 10 years,” said Chad Bouley, Executive Director of CMHFH. “We could not do our work without businesses like SCFCU, who consistently give financially and show up year after year with dedicated volunteers. We thank SCFCU for their incredible partnership and look forward to many more years of working together.”
