As part of Minnesota Credit Union Network's CU Forward Day, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union employees displayed their passion for giving back by participating in SCFCU's annual Community Day on Oct. 14 while supporting three organizations in different pockets of the Central Minnesota community.

One example of doing just that is Marie, an SCFCU employee, who found a unique opportunity to give back to a member she had an interaction with.

In an attempt to live out St. Cloud Financial Credit Union's mission of making a meaningful difference for all, SCFCU employees are encouraged to step into the spirit of giving back through meaningful mementoes and more for members. One example of that is when an SCFCU employee gave a memorable gift to a member whose mom was going through hospice care.

At St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, it's more about the interactions we have with our members and within our communities rather than just transactions. That is where SCFCU's meaningful difference initiative comes into play, which encourages employees to deepen connections with members. Member Advisor Tammy Butler recalls one interaction in particular that she had with a military serviceman.

Tackle Cancer is an event with Sartell Public High School, St. Cloud Financial Credit Union, and St. Cloud Subaru that raised money in 2023 through donations and merchandise for the Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund.
